2025 Documentary Film Project
  • Instagram

Our latest film project is a compelling and thought-provoking documentary that explores contemporary life in the U.S. through the eyes of a young woman. As she navigates her daily routines—walking to school, engaging with technology, and interacting with the world around her—she offers a candid and unfiltered perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing young people today.

Shot primarily on a smartphone, this documentary is more than a personal journey; it’s a litmus test of American society. Through her lens, we witness the raw emotions, hopes, and struggles of a generation growing up in a rapidly changing world. Her observations become a mirror, reflecting the societal structures we’ve built and inviting us to critically examine their impact on young lives.

This film is not just a story—it’s a call to action. By amplifying her voice and experiences, we are challenged to rethink how we support and protect the next generation. It’s an invitation to envision and build a safer, more inspiring future where every young person can thrive.

About the Filmmaker

As a former private school teacher and member of a Disciplinary Review Board, I spent years grappling with difficult decisions about student behavior and its impact on the school community. One question always guided me: Is this young person’s ability to learn or feel safe compromised by the actions of another?

To answer this, I would imagine a young freshman girl at her locker, preparing for the day ahead—a moment that should be filled with excitement and possibility. If her safety or ability to thrive was at risk, I knew the decision had to be clear. This experience shaped my understanding of the importance of creating environments where young people, especially young women, feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Today, as I look at the world through the eyes of a filmmaker, I see a society that is increasingly complex and challenging for young people. From the pressures of social media to the lack of safeguards in digital spaces, the world we’ve created often feels anything but safe or inspiring for the next generation. This documentary is my way of examining these issues through the lens of young women, giving them the tools and platform to share their stories in their own words.

For me, this film project is an examination of the health and vitality of our culture. The aim is to remove our perspectives as adults, to see the world the way an observant young person sees her world. By amplifying their voices, I hope to spark conversations, raise awareness, and inspire meaningful change.
