We understand that entrusting us with your child’s participation in this documentary is a significant decision. As parents and guardians ourselves, we take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and enriching experience for your child and your family. Below, we’ve outlined the steps, resources, and safeguards we’ve put in place to ensure your child’s well-being throughout the production process.

Our Commitment to Your Child

1. Voluntary Participation:
   Your child’s participation in this project is entirely voluntary. At any point during the production, if you or your child wish to discontinue involvement, you may do so without explanation. Your comfort and trust are paramount.

2. Legal Compliance:
   We adhere strictly to all federal and state laws governing minors in performances. This includes:

   • Completing the LLC-12 (for PA residents). Application for Minors in Performances, as required by the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance.

   • Complying with the Fair Labor Standards Act and all federal regulations.

   • Maintaining meticulous record-keeping to ensure transparency and accountability.

3. Fair Compensation:
   Your child will be compensated fairly for their time and contribution. The minimum wage of $8.00/hour will apply, and we will ensure all payments are documented and delivered promptly.

4. Breaks and Scheduling:
   We prioritize your child’s health and well-being by adhering to strict break schedules:

   • Very flexible requirements for filming.  Further details will be provided once our shooting standards are completed.

   • Filming will never take place during school hours to ensure your child’s education remains uninterrupted.

   • PA State Law requires a 30-minute break for every 5 hours of work.  (not applicable for this project, but including in the rare event something would arise that resulting in a full-day of shooting).

5. Contractual Agreement:
   Before filming begins, we will provide a clear and comprehensive contract outlining the terms of your child’s participation. This contract will detail compensation, working hours, breaks, and your right to withdraw at any time.

6. Professional Support:  If needed, we will have a licensed counselor on set to provide emotional support and check in with your child regularly. This ensures that your child feels heard, valued, and cared for throughout the process.

Steps for Participation

1. Application Process:

   • Complete the online application by June 15, 2025.

   • If selected, we will schedule an initial meeting to discuss the project, answer your questions, and ensure your family feels comfortable moving forward.

2. Legal Documentation:

   • We will assist you in completing the LLC-12 form and any other necessary paperwork.

   • If a work permit is required, we will guide you through the process of obtaining one.

3. On-Set Support:

   • A licensed counselor will be available to your child throughout filming.

   • You are welcome to be present on set at any time.

4. Open Communication:

   • We maintain an open-door policy for parents and guardians. If you have any concerns or questions, we encourage you to reach out to us immediately.
